About this show

Hidden between the lines of the history books is the story of Mary Stuart, the young woman the world would come to know as Mary, Queen of Scots. The teenage Mary is already a headstrong monarch - beautiful, passionate and poised at the very beginning of her tumultuous rise to power. Arriving in France with four close friends as her ladies-in-waiting, Mary has been sent to secure Scotland's strategic alliance by formalizing her arranged engagement to the French king's dashing son, Prince Francis. But the match isn't signed and sealed, it depends more on politics, religion and secret agendas than affairs of the heart. Prince Francis is intrigued by the fiery Scot, but like most young men, he resists the idea of settling down into marriage, especially when he has a history with a lady of the court and his own point of view on the wisdom of an alliance with Scotland. Still, an attraction between Mary and Francis is ignited.

Megan Follows is the star of this tween take on Mary, yes funnest CW show yet (Flash failed w lame villians). 1st season the best, absence of Henry leaves weak teens to take over-CW, so much angst. Finale ends with 5 min. lame clip show of blah character long dead ignoring other stars of show. Still, worth it.

I love the show, it's one of the most in-depth shows airing right now. But the network doesn't always upload them right after they air, usually it's 24 hours, but other times it's uploaded a week after it's on the networks site. We bought the season pass because CW's site is sub-par, it stops, stutters, isn't in HD, and through the Play store is great! Except that it's up to the publisher to upload on time. I'll probably think twice before subscribing to another season of a CW/Fox series

I hate Game of Thrones (don't like to see females abused sexually for the sake of perverted male viewers), give me Prince of Camelot, Salem, The White Queens or Outlanders anyday. I rather Francis die, Mary get married again and get locked in a dungeon for years before being beheaded by her cousin Queen Elizabeth just like her life story. Historically inaccurate, hideous inaccurate clothes, good sets and cheesy. Shockingly even as a major history fan I like this show.
