Caviar, foie gras, "elevated" take out, and sweet and salty decadent indulgences are taking center stage this week as the 14 remaining hopefuls face off in "The Taste" kitchen to put their personal spin on the mentors' favorite guilty pleasures. In the end, two more competitors will be eliminated. Chef Aaron Sanchez guest judges.

4. Street Food

The mentors are challenging their teams with creating delicious dishes inspired by classic "street food." Chef Roy Choi is guest judge this week where Anthony Bourdain shares a secret weapon with his kitchen.

5. Go Green

The heat in the kitchen is definitely on as the remaining nine competitors continue to fight to stay in "The Taste" kitchen one more week. But in a shocking and unexpected turn of events, one cook decides to mysteriously leave the competition, leaving everyone wondering what happened. With this week's challenge centered on vegetarian cooking, some mentors are taken out of their comfort zone as the teams create dishes inspired by things like curry and pasta when Chef Yotam Ottolenghi guest judges.

6. The Sweetest Thing

Feb 6, 2014
Who doesn't love dessert? Bring your sweet tooth this week as the eight remaining competitors are given the challenge to create mouthwatering desserts highlighting ingredients like fruit and sweet and savory combinations. 7. Good with Beer

Feb 13, 2014
Beer is the featured ingredient of this week's challenge. With six remaining cooks in the kitchen, the mentors and their teams get out of the studio and into some of their favorite Los Angeles-area restaurants for beer and food pairings. From salty animal flesh and shellfish to spicy and exotic foods, the competitors are feeling the pressure knowing that this week's challenge will determine who will be sent home and who will move on to the finale. Chef Jonathan Waxman is the guest judge for this challenge and serves the remaining cooks a curve ball they never saw coming as time ticks down during the group challenge. Who will hit a homerun and who will strike out?

8. The Finale

Feb 20, 2014
It's all come down to this. With only four cooks remaining in "The Taste" kitchen, the mentors give their teams their final group challenge; creating Rich and Poor dishes inspired by various ingredients including tripe, liver, wagyu beef, scallops and foie gras. This week the finalists have the added pressure of cooking for a culinary legend, the one and only, Chef Jacques Pepin.
