About this show

In this modern day twist of Washington Irving's classic, ICHABOD CRANE (Tom Mison, "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen") is resurrected and pulled two and a half centuries through time to unravel a mystery that dates all the way back to the founding fathers. Revived alongside Ichabod is the infamous Headless Horseman who is on a murderous rampage in present-day Sleepy Hollow. Bound to the Headless Horseman by a blood spell cast on the battlefield of the American Revolution, Ichabod quickly realizes that stopping Headless is just the beginning, as the resurrected rider is but the first of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

When I first heard about this show, I ignored it. The premise sounded silly and limited. I had no interest in it at all. However, a friend casually mentioned how much he and his family enjoyed it. Though not spoiling it too much, he did tell me that it was full of action and Ichabod's "Fish out of water" experiences in modern upstate New York were charming and hilarious. So when FX showed the first five episodes a couple weeks back, I set my tiVo to record them. Well, my wife and I watched the pilot and were floored! Best pilot ever, I could almost say. I certainly can't recall one in recent memory that set up the story well, introduced to interesting characters, and managed to be chock full of adventure and excitement as well. The writers and actors deserve a lot of credit. I think it would have been successfull with other competent actors, but the actors who play Icahbod and "Leftenant" Mills (whose names escape me now) are absolutely brilliant. Their chemistry and acting prowess really just caps a great show. In a way, its almost a cross between Indiana Jones and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Watch it!

Love love love the show....especially that Crane comes from a time when Americans knew the direction of a free man and fought for those rights! And they bring Revelations from the Bible in..thats not fantasy folks its facts (even though Hollywood twisting it to fit the script..the four horseman are real)

WOW...I'm usually not into shows this, but WOW...The best show every made. I just knew I wasn't going to like it, but I watched the first episode and WOW. Some shows have a good three episode in the season, then the next couple are bad, then some good after, and so on. Not this show. Every episode will have you at the edge of your seat begging this was a 2hr show. Each episode is better than the last. You have your non stop action, comedy, a little romance, and alot of eye candy.
