A very entertaining story, and a fun show to watch. Didn't ever really see any of the Richard rage that the sword was supposed to induce. I liked Kahlan and Zed a lot though. I feel that I would have enjoyed it much more had I NOT read the books first, but just because "the book was better" doesn't make this any less of an entertaining show. Unfortunate it ran so short.

As to be expected, this is a highly inaccurate depiction of the book series. It litterally pulls material from the books and alters it accordingly. The acting is of course cheesy, and the characters are only shadows of themselves. If you are always ready to accept that most times a book to show/movie conversion will rarely reflect the original material and appreciate things on their own, then you might like this. I personally enjoyed it.

This review is based on the price only. I'm a fan, and I'd love to own this digitally as opposed to hoping Hulu will have the rights to stream it whenever I want to see it but to pay $50 per season for each season is ridiculous. The show itself... Not perfect but worth checking out for any fantasy fan, it's pretty good. If Google lowers the price or has a sale including this I'll definitely buy.
