Season 19 episodes (7)

1 Episode 1
2/4/13
Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May are back as the world's most popular car program returns for a brand new season. In this first episode, Jeremy attempts to build a car that's even smaller than the famous Peel P50 and then tests it out on the streets of London before putting his concept to the ultimate test of credibility in the fearsome Dragons' Den. Meanwhile, James is testing the latest Bentley Continental GT Speed by taking it on a rally stage and Richard is at the test track to unleash the sensational new Pagani Huayra hypercar before handing it over to The Stig for the lap of its lifetime. As if that wasn't enough, Homeland star Damian Lewis is the star in the Reasonably Priced Car. Contains language some may find offensive.

2/11/13
The brand new season of the world's most popular car show continues with an epic road trip across the western side of the United States in three front-engined supercars. With Jeremy Clarkson in a Lexus LFA, Richard Hammond driving the new Dodge Viper and James May choosing the latest Aston Martin Vanquish a glorious soundtrack is guaranteed, as are furious arguments about which is best as the trio head from Las Vegas to Los Angeles and on to Palm Springs. Along the way, the three presenters take in racing circuits, airborne attacks and a race against the police before making a break for the Mexican border with a terrifying penalty for the last car to make it. Meanwhile, back in the studio legendary Fleetwood Mac drummer Mick Fleetwood is the star in the Reasonably Priced Car.

2/18/13
In this week's episode Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May engage in an epic race from Wembley to the San Siro stadium in Milan. Hamstrung by a rule about price, Clarkson maximises his bang-for-buck with a $55,000, 662 horsepower Shelby Mustang GT500 while Hammond and May pin their hopes to the ever-improving pan-European rail network. For the winner, tickets to a top flight football match. For the losers, only the stench of failure and a long trudge home. Also in this show, Jeremy slithers about the test track in the brand new Toyota GT86 coupe and car-loving singer-songwriter Amy MacDonald is the star in the Reasonably Priced Car.
4 Episode 4
2/25/13
In this week's episode Jeremy Clarkson subjects the new Kia Cee'd to a thorough road test involving eels, curry, a rock legend, an American cop, and a rather unusual game of rugby involving James May. Meanwhile, Richard Hammond is in Mexico for a nervous road test of the Mastretta sports car, a trio of hot hatchbacks tear it up on the test track and another top celebrity takes their turn as the star in the Reasonably Priced Car.
5 Episode 5
3/4/13
In this week's episode Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond tackle the twin problems of an ageing population and the increasing complexity of modern cars. Their solution is to design a vehicle exclusively for the elderly and then test it out in Dorset with a little help from a trio of pensioners. Meanwhile, James May assesses the new Range Rover around London and then shifts to Nevada for the ultimate challenge against an autonomous military machine. Plus actor James McAvoy is the star in the Reasonably Priced Car. Contains language some may find offensive.

3/11/13
In the first of a two-part Top Gear special, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May are in Africa with a simple mission -- to find the definitive source of the Nile. Over the years many explorers claim to have already done just that, but the Top Gear trio believe that they can do better by traveling further and faster than any exploration team in history using only grit, ingenuity and three ageing estate cars.
7 Episode 7
3/18/13
In the second part of the Top Gear special, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May continue their epic African odyssey. Having survived insane traffic, lethal mud slides and some distinctly dubious map reading, the trio and their ailing estate cars reach the climax of their quest to find the definitive source of the Nile.

About this show

It began life in 1977 as a conventional motoring magazine show. Relaunched in 2002 in a longer format, it pulled in an international audience of around 150 million viewers around the world. Irreverent, witty and unbiasedly honest, the Top Gear team and The Stig take cars to the limit and beyond to find out if they're any good or not. If you want to know how big the boot is, look elsewhere. Full of stunts, challenges and special features, Top Gear is self-deprecating, inclusive and passionate, giving authoritative information, entertainment and no little style.

Painful is the only word I can think of while watching the two new shows (episode 1 & 2). Before season 23 the show had three flawed characters ( Jeremy,James and Richard), which over time seemed to become your friends. They seemed to bring their own views and biases about motoring into the show. Now we have Chris Evans, who I can't sympathize or connect with at all and Matt Leblanc which I can only see as the potential Saviour the of the show. I am not sure why the idea of reducing the number of presenters from three to two seemed like a good idea. With that decision the producers took away the fighting school boys dynamic from the show. There was also the connection to the average man appeal which has been severed. Example: The reasonable priced car around the airfield has been replaced with a rally car, hence the severed connection to the average consumer. It may be possible that a cheap car challenge is still to come in this season, but my gut feeling says, no. In short the second episode felt like Graham Norton with cars. Graham Norton is a good show but I am here to watch Top Gear. Ran out of space - In short Chris Evans should get his act together or hand over to Matt&Co

The absolute best show in the whole world. If I could marry the show in a non homosexual way and maybe bang one of the hot British chicks with the accent you know, I totally would do it. I mean wouldn't you as long as she doesn't have like gross stereotypical teeth with hairy moles on her face like the typical portrayal of a homely British housewife. I mean like a city girl. Maybe one of those super sexy British black chicks you see on t.v. Like that spice girl on America's got Talent or whatever, Mel B.

Man or woman this is a show that all will love. Sophomoric humor at its best and truly beautiful cinematography. Just ignore everything beyond season 22. Cris Evans lacks substance and merely annoys with his superficial thoughts that lack substance & intelligence. He loves Ferrari but sees nothing else. If he's fired this show has a genuine hope.
