About this show

These classic episodes from the 1950s starring George Reeves set the tone for how many people still think of Superman, Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen. Mild-mannered reporter Clark Kent works for the Metropolis Daily Planet. But with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men, he also battles for truth and justice as Superman.

Yes it's old fashioned, but fun for those of us who enjoy heroics from a simpler time. Superman is the guy for the job. The supporting cast is funny, but the most interesting thing for me now is how George Reeves looks so serious with the criminals at the start, but then chuckles at the end when he gets the upper hand. Things could go wrong if Superman were a little slower, or if criminals ever wrote down the formula for synthetic kryptonite, but thankfully, they never do and Superman wins.

My dad use to let me watch these episodes with him while he had them on VHS and we always had a blast watching them. Now here it is nearly 20 years later and now I have a son of my own who I can watch these with as well.

You do know George Reeves was murdered, and was NOT a suicide, as reported, don't you? Henry Cavell, as Superman, is against the #METOO movement, regrets what feminism's done to dating! I'm near 70, and original Superman of the 1950s, was what I remember then!
