Friends told me to watch this show but I thought the premise was a little silly. I put it off for ages. What a mistake. This ultra violent anti hero show is at its heart a brilliant love story. The last unicorn still makes my hair stand on end. Brilliant acting and characters of a depth that surpasses all others of this genre.

Brutal, thrilling and entertaining plot line mixed with some of the best character profiles I have ever seen in a show. Antony Starr is incredible, along with the rest of the cast - there's not one actor/actress who wasn't excellent in his/her role. If you enjoy quick paced action, deep and dark story lines along with exciting erotic encounters and hard hitting violence, this is the show for you. Not for the faint of heart but for those who like (crime) thrillers, this will definitely be up your street. Can't recommend enough, I felt a real attachment to a lot of the characters, both good and bad and every episode added something both crucial and entertaining to the series. I'm so sad it's over.

On par, if not better than Breaking Bad this is a feast of violence and love entwined with a cast of fabulous characters. You'll root for both good and evil alike such is the way the characters are played by a brilliant cast. I cried buckets when it came to an end, no more Banshee. Heartbreaking!!
