About this show

A half-hour comedy series about Ted and how he fell in love. It all started when Ted's best friend, Marshall, drops the bombshell that he's going to propose to his long-time girlfriend, Lily, a kindergarten teacher. At that moment, Ted realizes that he had better get a move on if he too hopes to find true love. Helping him in his quest to find his future wife is Barney, a friend with endless, sometimes outrageous opinions, a penchant for suits and a foolproof way to meet women. When Ted meets Robin, he's sure it's love at first sight, but after a whirlwind romance with her, he realizes destiny has something else in store for him. The series is narrated through flashbacks from the future.

I have not seen this series through series, only on Netflix. Just saying though, Netflix has better music than the DVD releases do, so I hope that this is like the netflix version and not the DVD versions Anyway. Seasons 1-5 are golden, but once season 6 started, that marked to start of the steady decline of the show's quality. Not to say that 6-9 doesn't have good episodes, great episodes can still be found, but the seasons as a whole just feel less genuine.

Seasons 1-7 are OK, sometimes funny. Seasons 8-9 are occurring for one event: Barney-Robin wedding. Chronologically, season 8 ends before it starts!! Season 9 is kinda stupid. Many events happen in last 3 episodes. Why Barney/Robin get divorced, why Mom dies, why Ted gets back with Robin, why Ted's children insist to have aunt Robin as mom!! Why Barney suddenly have child with number 31 and loves his daughter to eternity!! Last 3 episodes are worst. I suggest not to see them and end it with imagination.

The last season is half way done and it feels like it is using stall tactics because they are out of ideas. The plot has not progressed in more than 10 episodes this last season. As a series I think the show has the potential to be one of the best sitcoms of its era and this ending is embarrassing the legacy. Without spoiling, there is a weekend long event that opens the last season, and the whole last season is just about that weekend so far. 12 episodes nothing happened yet.
