MyChart is an ok repository for medical records, but it's not great for setting appointments or for communication with doctors. There are different confusing ways to contact the practice and half the time they don't seem to get my messages. For appointments I've found in most cases it's a lot easier to just call by phone. There is a lot of functionality here, but in terms of usability, the site and the app are not intuitive. They need to hire some better user experience design professionals.

it's sort of ok. it's impossible to move to certain parts of the app and get back to where you were. The only way is to log off and log back in. This makes it a useless app for viewing the information you're supposed to be available for you. Looking at your test results is a very multi step process. The results are truncated instead of showing all the results for a given days blood draw. I used to be able to look at results on a single page and scroll up and down the results.

We're sorry to hear you're having this issue. Please email the details of this issue to us at MyChartSupport@epic.com, include the information listed here, and let us know which health system you are logging into so we can troubleshoot further. Each health system hosts their own instance of Epic, so we may ultimately need to reach out to them.

Overall, ,I give it high marks if your health team responds quickly to our requests. My team does. However, some of the system generated responses are not clear. For example, check the response generated when requesting a prescription refill. It is confusing. It should clearly indicate if the prescription refill was approved or refused. Currently, it brings both terms into the system response - not good!!

What’s new

MyChart now supports a more personalized homepage experience. Gestational age is now shown in the visit details screen for those who have a pregnancy care journey. These features might become available to you after your healthcare organization starts using the latest version of Epic.
