What is Roav Smart Car Charger F2?

F2 is a Bluetooth FM transmitter with built-in charging capabilities. F2 pairs with your smartphone to broadcast calls, music, and navigation directions to your car's FM radio so you can hear everything using your car's speakers.

How the Find My Car feature works

1. After you have paired F2 with the Roav app, when you stop your engine, the Roav app will lock onto your F2's GPS location automatically.
2. When you can't remember where you parked, use this app to find your way back to your car.
3. Walk in the direction the arrow points.
4. When you are close to your car, the Roav app will display "Nearby".

Ratings and reviews

They've used a software update to make older devices obsolete by removing "boosted" or "enhanced" FM signal whilst promoting new versions of devices directly on the app menu where you would trigger this option, the sound quality is greatly reduced, sounds like when you're trying to listen to a radio station in the mountains. Never buying this brand again.

I would love the app but for one annoyance: I cannot change the Bluetooth name of my Roav devices. I have a Halo in each of my cars. One of them is "8A77" and the other is "8D05." Why can't I rename one "Pilot" and the other "Accord," which I can do with every other Bluetooth device I use? It makes me nervous when an app lacks a basic feature like that.

It's a very pushy app. All I ever want to do is change the frequency it's broadcasting as I travel around for work, but it constantly insists that I turn on GPS permissions and it stays on constantly in the background. I have to go into the App Info and do a "force stop" before it'll stop running in the background. I don't want all that, I just want my fm transmitter to work without barging into anything else.
