I absolutely hate books that do not have an ending! it must be a new marketing ploy to encourage you to buy the next book, whereas if I knew it was only a prequel I wouldn't read it in the first place.

This is a great series starter box set. It had a wide range of older and newer releases of Amelia Shaw's. I enjoyed each book included in this set. Below are my individual reviews. -Taken By The Dragon King (The Dragon Kings of Fire and Ice book 1)-This is a very interesting dragon shifter romance. Lucy and Stavrok have intriguing dynamics and passion. This is an entertaining read with a storyline that kept me reading.- Wolf of Ash (The Shifters Rejected Series book 1)- This first book in the Shifter Rejected Series is engaging with action, suspense, danger and adventure. Talia and Galen have a great story. This builds a world that I can't wait to read more about. Talia and Galen are great together. I enjoyed the dual POV which benefited the story.- Fate of the Wolf (Pack Loyalty Book 1) -Steamy and interesting start to this new series. Allara and Reid have a second chance filled with drama, suspense, and action. This have palpable connection and chemistry.

Only one of these was an actual "Stand Alone" novel. The rest of the stories didn't give you enough to want to look for the 2nd part.
