Another action packed, thrilling, intriguing story that pulls you in from the first chapter. We meet Piper, a former child/teen TV star, who has been blacklisted by Hollywood. As she and her friends are executing a plan to expose the dirty secrets of the high-powered Hollywood elite, she becomes entangled in a boat explosion and the aftermath. Enter Beck, an FBI agent, who just also happens to be the former Port Police officer that fished Piper out of the ocean after a boat fire 10 years ago. And who has been haunted by the fear that he saw in Piper’s eyes since. Beck and Piper are then thrown together as they work on putting the puzzle pieces of past and present together. I didn’t want to put this book down, had to force myself to get some sleep. The twists and turns kept me guessing and I was truly shocked when I found out who was behind the boat explosion. Each book in this series is a must read. But if you haven’t read them, you can read this as a standalone.
