Thoroughly enjoyed this installment in the Unexpected Magic series. The romance between Penny and Isaac continues to progress. Their support of each other is awesome. The group of friends they gather to defeat evil are also great. The “bio-grandmother” is truly evil and makes this reader glad she is only on the pages of a novel. How Christine Pope comes up with such an evil character is truly frightening. I am sorry to see the end of this series. I think Destiny deserves her own story.

This is Book 4 in the series. It builds on the universe and characters in the previous books, which should definitely be read first. There is a lot of fill-in for the episodes in previous books, so this could be stand-alone, but the full impact of the previous books will give much greater appreciation and enjoyment of this book. It is an epic battle against and evil witch and a demon from Hell, and was almost lost several times, but courage and staunch comrades won the day.

I absolutely enjoyed all 4 of them! Fantastic reading, due to fantastic writing! 😍
