About this ebook

An enemy might just have to become an ally . . . in order to save humankind

The United States of North America is now engaged in a civil war with the Earth Confederation, which wants to yield to the demands of the alien Sh'daar, limit human technology, and become a part of the Sh'daar Galactic Collective. USNA President Koenig believes that surrendering to the Sh'daar will ultimately doom humankind.

But when highly advanced, seemingly godlike aliens appear through an artificial wormhole in the Omega Centauri Cluster 16,000 light years from Earth, President Koenig is faced with a tremendous choice: continue fighting the Sh'daar . . . or ally with them against the newcomers in a final war that will settle the fate of more than one universe.

Frankly, i am disappointed with this book. I feel like half of it is just filler to make the book thicker. Only thing i am going to remember from this book is the fact that the short tailed shrew in my backyard is a venomous mammal. The author can do better than this as he has demonstrated in previous novels.

About 20% of this book was actually the story, the rest was technical explanations repeated again and again. The first time he explained "fox one" was nice, after the ninth (I'm not exaggerating) it began to wear a little. It seems, the best way to read this would be to read a page, wait a couple months, then read another page, chances are the second page will have a recap of the first.

Very short, almost feels like half a book. The story is ok but a lot of pages in a short book are wasted restating the same info over and over. Would be four stars if I had paid $5 or less. And the $5 is only because its a new book otherwise I'd say $3. All told even if your a fan wait for a sale. Currently not worth its price tag. I paid less for each of the other books in series and they were all longer. No complaints with them.
