I loved this series from the author very much. It was great and good plot. I feel like this book went slow through, like an anime filler against the real plot. And then I'm not sure if her publishers rushed it or not because so many things happened in the last 30 pages it was shocking and then the series just ended out of nowhere. Out of such detail in the story and wonderful writing that went on and I on, I needed more about the wedding and the details after (which I don't want to spoil)

Great ending and beginning however the confusing section of Maxon finding America's secret seemed to be a test to me rather than accusing her. Testing her on how she would react. We really see Maxon as similar to his father in this book. The ending was expected that America would win. However the shocking reveal of Kriss and of America's rebel blood ties gives the humor about the situation because no matter how hard King Clarkson tried his son how have married one with northern rebel ties.

My daughter has never really loved reading, but this series got her attention. For that reason, I love it. Outside of that, I think the main character has no idea how to treat people in a relationship. She's a bad example of a person surrounded by a lot of good examples. She doesn't really care about other people, as her actions show, she's manipulative, emotionally unstable, dishonest, and I hope her behavior doesn't become a standard for any young reader.
