It's a gritty page turner that keeps the reader constantly engaged. Nice, quick development of characters, which I like. It's not going to win any literary awards, but in my free time I'm not looking for a homework assignment in deciphering text either. Fun atmosphere, fun read.

Not what I was thinking from the description. But as it gets in depth it really takes off. But when it gets going you gotta keep up. Especially if you are the kinda reader who really gets into a story. But all around great story. On to next book! P.S. your gonna wonder where did the research come from for this book.......

Love this series! Kadrey has done what something I've always enjoyed perfectly - melding religion and fiction into a story that you literally don't want to put down. I went through the first four of his books faster than I thought possible. Trust me, just check out the sample.
