About this ebook

The stunning third book in the sexy, action-packed Crescent City series, following the global bestsellers House of Earth and Blood and House of Sky and Breath.

Bryce Quinlan never expected to see a world other than Midgard, but now that she has, all she wants is to get back. Everything she loves is in Midgard: her family, her friends, her mate. Stranded in a strange new world, she's going to need all her wits about her to get home again. And that's no easy feat when she has no idea who to trust.

Hunt Athalar has found himself in some deep holes in his life, but this one might be the deepest of all. After a few brief months with everything he ever wanted, he's in the Asteri's dungeons again, stripped of his freedom and without a clue as to Bryce's fate. He's desperate to help her, but until he can escape the Asteri's leash, his hands are quite literally tied.

In this sexy, breathtaking sequel to the #1 bestsellers House of Earth and Blood and House of Sky and Breath, Sarah J. Maas's Crescent City series reaches new heights as Bryce and Hunt's world is brought to the brink of collapse-with its future resting on their shoulders.

Potentially my favorite of the CC series. It reminded me a lot of ACOMAF and ACOWAR in that there were so many moving parts and characters I've come to love. In CC2 I felt there was too much suspension of disbelief for me to get through it but I rarely felt that in this book. I definitely think it's a must read if you plan on reading the next book in the ACOTAR series.

Sorry, but I'm actually not impressed with this one. I love sjm and her books. They're not well written master pieces, but they are fun! However, this one felt waaayy too rushed in some parts, dragged in others, and had too many inconsistencies in of itself, with the other CC books, and with her other 2 series. The writing was choppy, especially at the beginning with all the POVs at once, and the pacing never let you get into the story until much later of the novel. You can tell this was rushed and wasn't edited very well. In the end, if you're a die hard fan of sjm... you'll either love it or struggle through it lol. If you weren't a super fan of Bryce before this... you still won't be lol. Hopefully the next book will have better luck! (I gave it 3 even with struggling, bc I still love the idea behind it all. I may not have loved it, but it was ok enough to enjoy by skim reading).
