Your guide to all Brawler classes in Brawl Stars

The Brawl Stars playable roster contains dozens of characters, classified into eight different classes. These classes determine how that character plays, and more importantly, how you should approach gameplay should you decide to choose them. Use the tips below to decide which class is best for you, and then find the Brawlers that maximize your potential in a Brawl Stars battle.

Artillery

Artillery Brawlers can ignore any piece of cover on the battlefield and hit enemies from a distance. They specialize in long-range attacks and dealing splash damage, but their low mobility makes them struggle in close combat especially against Tanks and Assassins. If you think Artillery Brawlers sound right for you, then you can go for Brawlers like Barley, Tick, and Dynamike, among others.

Assassin

Assassins are equivalent to "thieves," as they use their speed to close in on an unsuspecting enemy and deal lethal damage. However, they are also "glass cannons" of sorts, as Tank or Damage Dealer players can swat them away with ease. Due to their high mobility and low health, they work best in solo modes. If this vibes with you, then you can get started with Assassins like Edgar, Leon, and Crow.

Controller

Controllers can control the entire battlefield with area-of-effect attacks that damage multiple opponents at a time. They are great for securing strategic areas in a map, but as a Controller you should try to stay out of one-on-one fights as they aren't as potent against a single enemy. If you want to try a Controller, you can take Jessie, Bo, or Charlie for a spin in your next match.

Damage Dealer

The term "Damage Dealer" says everything you need to know, as they can deal direct damage quickly with varied range attacks. They have low-mid health, so while they can deal a lot of damage, they are weak against Artillery and Marskmen. If you're looking to play a Damage Dealer, then Brawlers like Shelly, Nita, and Colt, are your best bet.

Marksman

A marksman is the character to choose if you don't wish to directly engage with any enemies on the field at all. Their weapons include rocket launchers, sniper rifles, and more, though they can be taken down by a well-timed Assassin or Artillery fire. Brock and his rocket launcher are prime Marksman territory, while Bonnie and Belle are also good choices if you want to check the class out for yourself.

Support

The Support class is crucial for a balanced team as it will enhance your team's survivability and effectiveness. They keep the team's attackers healthy and happy while they take on the enemy, occasionally assisting with buffs like slowing down the enemy, reducing damage, etc. Poco, Doug, and Berry are all terrific Supports to check out if you want to give the Support class a chance.

Tank

Tanks are the big beefy Brawlers at the frontline, and they can soak in as much damage as they dish out. They are great for crowd control. Assassins and Marksmen don't stand a chance going head-to-head against a Tank, though the Damage Dealer class will be able to put a hurting on a Tank easily. El Primo, Bull, and Frank are all terrific Tanks to check out the next time you log in.
