The Koren Tefilla App includes our siddur in three nusaḥim: Sefaradim (Edot Mizraḥ), Sefarad and Ashkenaz.

The siddur was designed in accordance with the design elements which were created by Eliyahu Koren and which have been passed down at Koren Publishers over the last 60 years. We have done our best to maintain these guidelines while making the necessary changes considering the platform.

The siddur is of course a smart siddur and therefore displays the appropriate tefillot based on the annual cycle. In addition, one may apply different tefilla modes such as davening with a minyan, ḥazzan mode, simḥa and aveilut as well as geographic location.

Beyond this we have also added various content geared towards aiding one in preparation for Tefilla, learning about and reflecting on Tefilla as well as creating a davening experience which is not possible using a printed book. Among these tools you will find audio preparations for Tefilla from different creators, commentary by Rabbi Jonathan Sacks and a feature allowing one to display the Tefilla word by word or sentence by sentence which enhances one’s focus.

There are other settings and features not mentioned here and we encourage you to go ahead and explore these.

Ratings and reviews

It's a good beginning. Good app with the classic Koren graphic design. I would prefer to have more similarities to the printed version with the larger Shma and Barechu etc. Also to have a choice on background colors to make if easier on the eyes. Also, the justification on the phone should be closer to the edge of the phone display.

This is a lovely presentation of the daily prayers. I appreciate that I can flip between pages rather than having to constantly scroll. Koren's attention to detail in layout and line breaks is a treat in this digital form.

Could be much better. Would like an option for women. Would like the option of automatic screen scrolling. Need a button to choose specific parts of the service. Psalms should be named. Would be happy to pay for a complete Koren siddur with all these options. Also various parts of prayers labelled, e.g. P'sukei D'zimra, Birchot HaShachar, etc.More options to change font size. Large offered is too large, medium slightly too small for mature daveners! Let's go, Koren! Make it so!
