YATZEE is a board game with its original rules. Five dices with six sides and 15 sections to be filled in 15 rounds. It is a Scandinavian public domain dice game very similar to Poker Dice, Yacht, Generala and Cheerio. Yatzy is also known as Yachty and Farkle in different countries. You can play Yazy with your virtual buddies with high level artificial intelligence. Do not hesitate to play Yatzee with your make-believe friends. This is a game of strategy and luck. Try to get the highest points possible by completing fifteen different dice combinations. Those combinations are one pair, two pairs, three of a kind, four of a kind, small straight, large straight, full house, and chance for the lower section and ones, twos, threes, fours, fives, and sixes for the upper section. And we have Yatzy, the mother of them all. You can play Yatzy solitaire or against an opponent. In single player, you choose your target points and try to score higher than that. Against an opponent, you just have to score higher than your rival.

Ratings and reviews

The game is, of course, rigged. It is also a gambling game. Don't allow this app any network access, and you will stop seeing ads. On network, there are some bonuses, but the ads are brutal. It is else totally offline, also when you play with "other" players, all modes are playable. The game doesn't respect users settings and might restore network access by itself. Keep in mind you can play this game on a real table with real dices for free and the real life graphic is amazingly detailed.

The dice aren't fair. Not always bad by any means, but loaded. If you play enough, it becomes obvious what the developer believes is optimal strategy, but it ain't always. Anyway it's amusing--I only wish the 25 billion $$ was redeemable for something. BTW I played a lot of yatzee as a kid and know how rare a one roll 5 of a kind is--1 in about 7800. Happens much more often then that. More frustrating is never, ever need a 3 or even a two of a kind to get your bonus at the end of the game!

*update* getting worse by the day! Forget stats. Bots get tons of yatzy, you can't even throw a 6... Garbage now! Was a good game. Until yesterday's update. Now it's nothing short of annoying. Why spoil something that was near perfect, no idea. We all know what each throw is called, now they have animated text telling us? Not fun when you play solo especially. Shame. Time to move on.
