About this app

The original PSO2 Alert by Arks-Layer, now for your Android device!
PSO2 Alert is designed to announce upcoming scheduled and unscheduled Emergency/Urgent Quests for both Japanese and Global versions of PSO2 New Genesis and Classic as well as Field Events (e.g. Gigantix) for both servers.

Features

- Announcements up to 90 minutes before for scheduled events.
- Announcements up to 15 minutes before for unscheduled events.
- Choose which events to be notified for.
- Supports one or more server choices such as NGS Global, Global Classic, Global Field Events, NGS JP, JP Classic and/or JP Field Events.
- Announcement times in the device's timezone.
- PSO2 related news from within the app.
- Always ad-free with no in-app purchases or notifications not related to PSO2.

Please note:
- A persistent notification is required to stop the app from being killed by Android. You can long press the notification, tap on the settings icon and then uncheck "PSO2 Alert Service" to hide it. You can also set it to "Silent" if you just want to remove the icon.
- The app uses Android's Alarm Manager to perform the alert checks. This allows Android to group tasks from other apps together and thus should not cause any extra battery drain.
- Most of the features of this app are done server-side and thus it may seem like this application is rarely updated. Install it and you'll see that it works.

If you're having issues with the app, feel free to join our discord server (http://discord.gg/PSO2) and/or send a DM to Aida Enna#0001 with the issue. Thank you!

Edit: Thank you for taking the time respond! I tried reinstalling afterward and after disabling the battery saver feature on my phone it seems to work as advertised now, my bad 😅 ----------------------------------- Doesn't seem to work. Not even sure if this app is still being maintained, but would've appreciated if it'd at least be communicated wether it was or wasn't :/ (though I guess I only have myself to blame for not checking reviews/last updated date, oh well)

Thank you for coming back and giving us another chance. Thanks for letting us know that battery saver can be an issue and we'll see if we can ask the user for permission to ignore it (like some other apps can). Hit us up on our Discord (discord.gg/pso2) and we can assist you with any issues.

Great app. Only one problem that i hope can be fixed. It sets off alerts all day unless you turn it off ahead of time. Maybe a fix that can be done. A user can set a timer that stops alerts after a set time (minutes, hours, days, etc.) and a night off function that the user can set times when they are sleeping and not using the apps.

It's still not working. I get notifications, but both sections are still empty when opening the app. ---------------------- Was working ok for a bit, but now the upcoming and news sections are empty for NA. Restarting the app doesnt fix it and rhey aren't collapsed cause I tried tapping on it. Also really needs a way to see the upcoming schedule of quests not just the next one, but for the rest of the week so we don't need to keep going back to the site to see it.

Sorry about this! We're in the process of moving all of our stuff over to a new server (We used 21TB of bandwidth last month!), and a failure with the new server caused this issue. It's been fixed though, and everything should work as intended. Please let me know if this is not the case. We'll also look into adding that schedule suggestion. Thanks!
