GME is a Fintech company with a Super App designed to provide all the financial services to foreigners residing in Korea. Initially launched as a cross-border money transfer service in 2016, GME has since diversified into various financial sectors.

GME obtained its MVNO license (제 1호-01-23-0022 호) from ICT Ministry of Korea, now GME can issue Altol SIM card (알뜰) in collaboration with LGU+, one of the top 3 Telecom operators in Korea

Customers Can apply for the GME Mobile SIM Card from the app and receive the physical SIM card at their home address

▶ Loan

GME acts as on loan facilitator in cooperation with our sister company, GME Finance (Business registration no. 646-88-01104 and license no. 2019-금감원-1801) that is regulated by Financial Supervisory Service (http://www.fss.or.kr).

GME does not have the authority to enter into loan contracts directly. Affiliated financial company conducts loan reviews and enters into loan contracts with customers.

-Loan Limit: From 2 million KRW to a maximum of 30 million KRW
-Loan Period: Minimum 6 months, maximum 60 months
-Comprehensive Interest Rate Range: Annual rate from a minimum of 6.14% to a maximum of 20% in accordance with the legal interest rate permitted by Financial Supervisory Services of Korea
-Loan Repayment Example: For a loan of 1 million KRW with an annual interest rate of 20% over 12 months with equal principal and interest repayments, the total loan cost is 1,111,080 KRW (monthly payment of 93,000 KRW)

Phone: Needed to verify your mobile phone number for using mobile transportation in collaboration with EZL Co., Ltd.

[Optional Permissions]

1. Storage and Media: Allows you to upload documents for ID verification, download transaction receipts, remittance statements, and bank statements (optional).
2. Location Information: Used to find your current address during user registration (optional).
3. Contacts: Helps you find mobile numbers for mobile top-up (optional).
4. Camera: Enables you to capture photos for ID verification, profile pictures, and face verification (optional).

Ratings and reviews

This app is garbage if you're sending to UK or USA. The "customer service" will not help you and just tell you to try a different way. Honestly just go your your own bank and set up a remittance account. They're more willing to help and more competent.

Instant remit with fantastic gift reward for users. Transaction fee is better than most remit apps I've used in the past. Suitable for both local and international transactions. I strongly recommend. However, it's only available in 49 countries at the moment. Count yourself lucky if your country is among.

Pretty bad. Setting up was more difficult than it should have been, at one point the customer service person asked me for my password so he could log in (which I said no). Eventually when it was setup I couldn't get money sent to the account tried a few times then gave up because I had better ways.
