Light strips and other RGB products are great! The app however, not so. Every now and then the app will sign you out and remove all devices and settings, making you manually re-add everything. This has been an issue for 4÷ years with no fix. Really annoying especially after having spent up to an hour going through all the customization options - only for the app to forget everything a few months later and having to re-do it all again.

Used to work, if a little clunky, but we had a power cut and our light disappeared from the app. Tried to reset and add the light again but it just fails every time, even though the router shows the light is connected to the WiFi. Absolutely hopeless. I would advise against buying Xiaomi lights and get a reliable brand - Philips Hue are more expensive but at least they work.

I have the willow strips, downlights and smart curtains. Downlights fail to work every now and then. Smart curtains also started disconnecting and sometimes even off the radar! Esp since the last month. There are NEVER any updates for firmware, not so for the past two years?! Now my curtains are disconnected despite me adding in every night. Even the downlights are not connected! What is wrong with your equipment or app?! If this is your core business please get it right!
