About this app

SocialMesh is an offline-first companion for Meshtastic and LoRa mesh networks, built to observe, manage, and operate real mesh systems in the field.

It connects directly to Meshtastic devices over Bluetooth or USB and reflects what the mesh is actually doing - packets, hops, airtime, and decay - without pretending LoRa behaves like the internet.

Track node presence as confidence that naturally fades when packets stop arriving. Broadcast short-lived Signals that expire automatically. Explore local and global mesh activity on live maps. Diagnose radios, manage regions and channels, and automate responses - even when completely offline.

SocialMesh is device-centric and mesh-true: the UI mirrors real radio behavior rather than forcing binary "online/offline" states.

Whow, Far better than the original Mestastic app, extremely well laid out, a very clean and good looking app. So far so good 👍

Love it. While the 'official' app feels like people who know meshtastic decided to make an app, this feels more like people who know apps decided to focus on meshtastic. I definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a less frustrating experience and to focus more on working with the mesh.

What’s new

Telemetry readings the radio hands over after a reconnect are filed at the time they were received, so old readings no longer appear as new on charts. Readings not received as telemetry packets are not written to history. Chart labels on multi-day spans no longer overlap. The MQTT client proxy connects to Aedes-based brokers, connects as soon as the radio does, and no longer forwards retained messages. Reconnecting no longer duplicates handled frames. The web build starts without errors.
