Schwung is the solution that ensures that cyclists arrive faster at their destination and less often have to wait for a red light. Your smartphone, on which the Schwung app is installed, is connected to the traffic lights on your route and therefore you are seen earlier and green light can be requested.

The Schwung app automatically detects that cycling is taking place and the app starts automatically and switches off again when cycling is stopped. So you don't have to do anything.

NB. Schwung only works at traffic points that are prepared for the use of Schwung. You can find a list of current locations in the app under 'Participating municipalities' and on the map in the app.

Ratings and reviews

Works as intended and is mostly a quality of life improvement. 4 stars instead of 5 because it can be difficult to configure the app properly. Without changing several settings on most phones the app will not work properly or at all. There could be a before use guide to help people find the right configuration. Having power saving enabled will also prevent the app from working as intended.

It never sends the verification message to verify the phone number

Keeps asking for permission, constantly.. Does not work even after giving access to device location when using the app. Also, no english version.
