Like it. UI is very intuitive and non-intrusive. It has all the elements that one could expect from a note app. IMO ads are reasonably rare. The only thing I'm worried about is the recent update and the vendor preferences pop-up. I think a lot of privacy conscious people use this app because it's just barebones in a good way. Perhaps I don't understand the system behind these pop-ups, but the mere fact of me having to uncheck all the consent tabs is making me a little worried about it's future.

they are now starting to let scammers advertise that look real. I got an advertisement saying that if I didn't update my Google Play I wouldn't be able to download anything and I almost clicked on it thinking it was real but it turned out to be a scam in which you pay money. shame on you basic note for going down to that level

Ads! Everywhere! Try to make a note? Dropdown ad. Try to go back to your notes? Full page ad with no X button to close. Trying to save a note? Same thing. If this many ads are needed I am certain the information in the notes themselves are being harvested and sold as personal data for further business funding. Try different Note apps because this one is bloated, slow, and untrustworthy. If you need to look at your notes and move between them quickly it's not going to happen with BasicNote.
