I played through the entire adventure track, but I'm also enjoying the farming track as well. It's engaging enough that it makes me want to come back to it every day, and I'm learning a good amount of vocabulary. I'm glad the devs fixed the energy requirements for battles instead of ending up with 2 energy left. Other suggestions would be separate rankings for premium users since it's impossible to compete otherwise. Also still getting the no sound glitch as others mentioned.

Cute little game to aid vocab retention. Just a suggestion: It'd be much better if naala's energy replenished over the day. I have a handful with 0 😴 constantly & have to keep watching ads. Most phone apps is wait & replenish, then ads if you want more or pay£. Feel like I can barely play. It doesn't make me want to keep coming back if I can only really do anything for 10 mins then sit through a multitude of 60s ads. Which I typically just whack the volume down and look away til it's finished.

I previously wrote a one star review (only earlier this month) because of major issues with the game. Since then they've actually done quite a decent update which fixed my main issue and improved the app even further. I'm quite happy with where it is now. However, I've come to realise I huge flaw, at least for Japanese. They throw words at you that art written in Kanji, then expect you to memorise them without any understanding of what the individual kanji are.
