The Roku Remote control within the Roku App is really so much easier to use because it doesn't require line of sight to function and God forbid your batteries are low then you have a new set of problems. A nice feature that I love is the all your apps are right there on your Remote control and you pick your entertainment platform, what you want to watch and sound choice all from your phone and no getting off your couch to mess with peripheral side issues. I use this app as my main roku remote especially because it allows audio through my earbuds. the ads are not intrusive and the ui hasn't had any issues for me. Great app. it would be cool if you could customize the main remote buttons a bit though
