L-pesa takes your privacy very seriously and promises to never share your information with third parties. To process loans, we use data on your phone such as your SMS history to verify your identity and create a credit score. We encrypt the data you choose to share with us to protect your privacy.
What are My Loan Terms?
Customers can apply for the minimum sum of 3,650.00 UGX to the maximum sum of 2564900 UGX ranging from a minimum of 63 days to a maximum of 730 days.

Monthly interest of 2% – 16%
Effective APR of 22% - 199%
A one-time loan processing fee of 3%
Interest rates are determined by factors such as repayment history and the lending cost. The customer can pay the loan before the due date without any charge and be eligible for another loan. Standard SMS and data charges by your mobile carrier may apply.
For example, for a 63 day loan with a principal of 73000 UGX, the processing fee is 2190 UGX (3%) and the interest will be 31852 UGX. The total sum due would be 104852 UGX.

Processing fees: 2190 UGX
Total interest: 31852 UGX
Total payment: 104852 UGX
Total duration for payment: 63 days (9 weeks)

Depending on the loan amount for which you are eligible, you have the option to choose repayment terms up to 9 weeks minimum. Every loan amount we offer has the option to repay in a minimum of 63 days to a maximum of 730 days. No auto-debit is guaranteed. You can decide when you are ready to repay.

Loan repayments are done on a weekly schedule.
Penalty?
Upon the lapse of the loan repayment duration, you will not be able to access any loan until repayment is complete; furthermore, your loan limit will be reduced as your credit score lowers.

3. Enter the sum to pay
4. Enter your L-Pesa pin

* To create your L-Pesa pin, log in to your L-Pesa account, click on update profile, click on settings, click on change pin, and set your desired PIN.
Payment can be made in full or partially before the due date.

A good app. Loan builds as you pay. Check and improve on delays, sometimes a loan takes too long to be approved. Then why the issue of processing fees and currency conversion fee all directed to the client and cut off from the loan amount? Check on that please coz clients ending up paying too much ..make the app abit friendly to clients.

Very useless. I repeat very useless! They give you loan for a few number of times say 3 or 4 then start denying you for no reason despite paying promptly all the previous applications. Text them on WhatsApp number they've given ,they tell you to apply again for consideration but same happens. Requested them to delete my account but bluetick me with no response no action. Useless!

The app is good but it is very unreliable and disappointing,they take too long to approve the loan, I have re-applied for more than two weeks and i have not been approved and I have never any loan. I tried send the problem through Gail and whatsup but there is response and changes. Kindly assist
