Didn't have any issue connecting to dongle or instructions, but it said programing failed at the last step. I tried two more times and the app hangs at the "please wait" prompt. Frustrated, I turned the app off and pressed the lock/unlock button to see if anything happens. Magically, it works. Ignition and sliding doors also works. The only thing that didn't work it the power liftgate. Not sure it it's the made in china key fob or the app, but it'll have to do for now.

Initially, I was having a problem with the app connecting to the dongle via bluetooth. I remembered having a similar issue with another bluetooth device and having to turn on location on my phone to connect. Turned on location and that solved my problem. Got the new key programmed. Not exactly the key I wanted, because there is no remote, but it was always going to be my backup so I am ok with it.

Overall, the process was quick and smooth. At first, the app absolutely would not find the OBD dongle. After restarting the app, though the app found it right away. Everything from there on was smooth. I followed all the directions and had a working replacement key in about 5 minutes. I was able to test all of the buttons and start the engine without incident. The only thing I didn't appreciate was the data collection (name, phone #, email, zip, etc).They should only need that IF I need support
