About this app

Steel yourselves, and begin to defend your mind from the language used against you by the sophists of the world.

They are many, we are few, but with the Logical Defence app, we now have an extra tool in our box of rationality.
Use this app to quickly look-up the logical fallacies we face when debating against the irrational.
Call out those who are logically flawed and help to build a more rational society.

Honesty is the first virtue, so let's be painfully honest towards those who attempt to use language as a form of mental abuse. Never accept a logical fallacy, attack the attacker, and spread logic and reason to those you love.

Ok, enough rambling. This is an app that displays a list of the logical fallacies that haunt every rationalists' mind.

Some features:

- Left drawer that houses categories.
- Share function -> Long press a fallacy to share it.
- Nice about screen.
- Language selection function.

This is a fully open-source project (GNU v2), and the source is hosted on GitHub so feel free to fork me :)

UPDATE: 28 Nov 2016 -> Thanks very much to everyone who has downloaded the app, I have seen an incredible uptake in users over the past few weeks. I will soon be on leave, and I hope to add some new features soon :)

Wonderful, but programming needs revising. Topics and points should be listed, and then expanded after clicking. Also, types should be the main points, then entered upon after clicking, where users would then click to expand. Not a menu, which hides the types. Menus should be for settings, language, etc. Wonderful app, though.

Hi there! Thanks very much for the feedback. I'll be pushing updates hopefully before the end of the year, maybe early Jan. Be sure to check out the improved UI then :)

It's a nice reference guide that provides good examples for each fallacy. Only getting 3 stars from me because: -There aren't any features outside of a basic list. It would be nice to match some of the provided examples to the correct fallacy to test for understanding. -Some of the fallacies provided are given new names unecessarily. For example, "Appeal to Spite" is this apps name for the "Ad Hominem" fallacy. This can confuse someone interested in a deeper study/ rehearsing what they know.

As there's no such thing as left-wing mathematics or a right-wing scientific method, there's no such thing "left logic" (or "right logic"). There is only Logic! This app is a fine resource, & there's no need remove political examples. Forget the sophomoric dross that's intrinsic to the solipsists reviewing the app as "too politically biased" Their own biases occlude them from seeing this app as even-handed and balanced.. Regardless, the author ought have examples in addition to the political.

Hey there, thanks very much for the valuable suggestion. You are 100% correct when you say there is only Logic. I attempted to strike a balance in examples from across the political spectrum. (Clearly didn't appease everyone XD). The app has, only in the last few months, exploded with attention. I'll be revising the app soon :) Thanks again.
