The Synodal Bible translation into Russian is an important and influential translation of the Bible in the Russian Orthodox tradition. This translation, known as the Synodal Bible Translation, is the result of a gigantic project that began in the 19th century under the Russian Orthodox Church. It is named after the Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church, which oversaw this project.
