Many functions only work for those with a Taiwan ID. Even if you switch to the original Chinese UI, several features will still produce errors, preventing you from proceeding, or display a message stating, 'Only natural persons in the country can use this function.' Imagine getting your Uniopen聯名卡 activated, only to find that the app doesn’t allow you to bind the card to your Uniopen account for some reason, rendering all the advertised services and benefits useless.

Our app supports foreign nationals in linking their uniopen card to their OPENPOINT membership. If you have any issues linking your cards, please contact our customer service center, we will further review and resolve the issue for you. Thank you.

Dont use this bank if you are going to travel outside Taiwan. I went to US and already told the bank that Iam going there, but my card still got declined for a few times. And believe me, they never read their CS email because I already sent several mail without getting any replies
Thank you for the feedback. We will continue to optimize our services.

The app has a clean and nice design, but I cannot recommend it for its deceptions. It offers an English interface, but many of the functions of the APP that are available in Chinese do not appear at all in the English interface. I think it is deceptive that it does not give a notification that the English interface is heavily reduced in functionality. This is very frustrating to me as I have to slowly read through the Chinese interface. I assume it is impossible to use for anyone that cannot read Chinese at all. For example, certain account transfers (within your own accounts) were not available in English until 1 year ago. To this day, making a fixed (timed) deposit is not available in the English interface. The app seems to work fine for many people in the Chinese interface, so why can't the same be done in the English interface? Non Chinese-readers should not be subjected to ambiguity in 3rd party translations when it comes to important things like their finances. At least, the developer should list the functions that are not available in the English interface.
