This app makes that possible.
◎What it does
Displays information about your current location (population, median age, average annual income, life expectancy, area, etc.)
Describes the scenery you can see.
Current travel speed, maximum speed, and the speed at the station you just passed.
Announces the name of the nearest Shinkansen station from your current location.
You'll be notified by vibration when information is displayed.
The information will also be read aloud.

Since it uses GPS, it may not display correctly underground, in tunnels, or with poor reception.

If you don't want audio readings, adjust your smartphone volume.
