The World Knowledge Forum was launched in October 2000 after two years of preparation with the goal of transforming into a creative knowledge nation following the 1997 Asian financial crisis. In the meantime, the World Knowledge Forum has provided a place to discuss bridging the knowledge gap through knowledge sharing and balanced global economic growth and prosperity. George W. Bush, the 43rd US President, Theresa May, the 76th Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Nicolas Sarkozy, the 23rd President of France, Gerhard Schroeder, the 7th Prime Minister of Germany, representatives of international organizations such as World Bank President Kim Yong, Bill Gates, Microsoft Entrepreneurs such as founder Larry Ellison, Oracle Chairman Larry Ellison, Alphabet Chairman John Hennessy, Soros Fund Chairman George Soros, and renowned scholars such as Larry Summers, Paul Krugman, Michael Porter, and Gregory Mankiw put their heads together to contemplate the future of the world and create the World Knowledge Forum in name and reality. We made it the largest knowledge festival in the world.
