1. OBJECTIVE
In this practice you will explore the configurations of hands in Brazilian Sign Language (LIBRAS). Through photos and short videos, you will associate these hand configurations with the signs, favoring your learning of this rich language.
At the end of this experiment, you should be able to:
Recognize and associate the handshapes (CM) in LIBRAS with the respective signs that use it;
Reproduce the signals based on the presented hand configurations;
2. Where to use these concepts?
Like every language, LIBRAS has a system of abstract rules that need to be obeyed for clarity in communication. LIBRAS is made up of parameters. Knowing these parameters is very important in your learning process and consequently in expanding your vocabulary.
In this practice you will use the online environment and will have two usage options. In the first environment, Estudar, will allow you to associate the handshapes and some respective signs in LIBRAS that use it. The second environment, Practice, will allow you to practice your knowledge of hand configurations by answering questions that will appear on the screen.
