This is my second edit of this review. I thought I had worked out the major issues with the app, but they returned. In a nutshell, the Apple version of this app is excellent, the Android version is, for me, unusable. It is buggy in general, but the deal breaker for me is that when you leave the app (e.g., when screen times out) and come back, it doesn't put you back to where you were, not even in the same article.

Update 9.13.23: app regularly requires login. Login opens browser, blank page. No way to login and view paper. Might as well cancel. Deleted and re-installed. Same problems. Daily editions no longer load. Blank screen. Requires going to settings, clear cache ( of less than 1mb) then return to app and start again. Don't blame my new phone - plenty of ram and memory, gigabit wifi and data plan. No longer worth subscription if I can't read the 'paper'.

Thank you for providing feedback. My name is Matt Sabath and manage our app platform. Can you please contact me at matt.sabath@ajc.com to provide me with a little more detail around what is happening. I am curious if this is still occurring.

Long Page Load Times. Both this app and the AJC reader browser version frequently take a long time to load pages. Often pages are only partially loaded and remain readable but fuzzy for a very long time. Even the page thumbnails take a long to to be viewable. Having to click and wait for a minute or more per page is unacceptable.
