About this app

This app provides convenience to users by consolidating various PTAC-related tasks in one place. A task name represents each task. The task names include:

- PTAC Connect: Connect the app to a PTAC via Bluetooth
- Documents: Access a library of PTAC information
- Warranty: Display PTAC warranty information
- SpecMyPTAC: Choose PTAC requirements to fit users' needs
- Room List: Describe PTAC/room associations to a controller
- Product Survey: Describe the type of PTAC at a property
- Contacts: Provide help resources to users

Ratings and reviews

Works once it's connected although not terribly intuitive. But the bigger complaint is that every time your Bluetooth disconnects from the unit (if you leave your home,for instance), you have to take off the cover, unscrew the splash guard and reset the PTAC unit's Bluetooth so it will connect. Might be more an issue with the PTAC units than the app. But fairly terrible design probably intended to get you to buy the $200 Bluetooth controller.

ptac connect is not working at all. all it gives me is the instruction sheet for connecting, and that is it. I've uninstalled and installed it several times. allowed all permissions, cleared cache, etc. restarted phone several times. does not work. my phone is Samsung S22 with the latest software updates.

You have to have location on and allow the app to find your location for it to work on Android 15. I'm using a Galaxy S25 Ultra
