Bindu is a one-stop solution for visually impaired people to ease their lives. Bindu uses computer vision and other AI technologies to assist people with visual impairments such as low vision or blindness to do their daily tasks faster. Using your phone’s camera, Bindu makes it easier to get more information about the world around you and make your life easier.
How it works:
The app works in just 4 easy steps.
1. Open the app.
2. Select the feature you want to use.
3. Capture the image.
4. Hear the response.
Bindu has 4 major services as follows:
1. Picture Description: This feature helps to get more information regarding the objects around you. It will describe the object that you have captured.
2. Text Detection: This feature reads aloud the text that you capture for your phone’s camera.
3. Currency Detection: This feature helps you to use the currency in your day-to-day life easier. You just capture the image and the app will speak aloud what note is it.
4. People Detection: This will help you to know how many people are in front of you.
Features:
1. Major AI services such as image-captioning, OCR, Currency Detection, and Face Detection.
2. SOS functionality such as sharing location and emergency calls.
3. Play and Pause functionality in case the description of a certain service is long.
4. Share functionality in order to share the response.
5. Feature to scan the Barcode and QR code.
6. Intelligent switching of operating modes between Talkback and TextToSpeech.
7. Ability to change the language accent of the voice assistant.
8. Ability to change the speed of the voice assistant.
9. Speech-to-text functionality in case a person cannot hear can at least read.
System Requirements:
Bindu runs on Android 5.1 and above.
Minimum 1GB of RAM.
Note:
Any content, which includes but is not limited to Text, Image, Videos, and Recordings covering anything obscene as per all national and international laws are prohibited. Users of Bindu are directed to abide by restrictions laid by the privacy policy on obscene Sexual Content.
