The Protestant Association for Participation (BeB) is a specialist association of diakonia. Based on his ethical stance, his Christian view of humanity and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, he advocates for the interests of people with disabilities or mental illnesses and their families. As a representation of the interests of over 600 Protestant institutions, services and initiatives for disabled people and social psychiatry, the BeB works to improve the social and socio-political framework conditions, to promote the full, effective and equal participation of all people in their diversity and to comprehensive participation of people with disabilities or mental illness.
The association's two most important regular publications are published as e-papers in the BeB app: The specialist magazines “Kerbe” and “Orientierung” each appear four times a year.
Notch - Forum for Social Psychiatry
The “Kerbe” offers practical orientation for all important technical and psychiatric policy issues and is highly valued by the association public as one of the few recognized social psychiatric journals. Each issue deals with a main topic.
Orientation – trade magazine for participation
“Orientation” is the BeB's specialist magazine for assistance to the disabled. The target group is employees of disability assistance in on-site practice and in managerial positions, as well as affected people and their relatives. Current issues that are relevant to people in need of support are addressed. Each issue is thematically focused on a main topic.
The magazines can be purchased as individual issues in the app or as an annual subscription from the publisher.
