關於此應用程式

為科學錄下你的聲音!幫助研究普通感冒的進展。

This app is part of a research project (RELOAD) from the Universities of Cambridge and Southampton, involving a team with both medical and AI expertise.

We want to model the progression and symptoms of Respiratory Tract Infections (RTIs) -- cough and cold, by using AI to analyse the sound of the human voice, breath, and cough.

The data this app collects will be anonymised: we will not ask you any identifying information (name, phone number, email address, place of residence etc.). But we will ask you some personal questions: sex, gender, age, medical history that are highly useful in our research; you have the option of not giving this information, however.

We will then ask you about the presence and intensity of your symptoms, and ask you to make a series of mic recordings of your voice, breath, and cough.

If you currently have a cold, we will ask you to keep using the app daily in order to share with us a series of sound recordings that will help us model the progression of your cold.

We also need healthy sounds! So feel free to use the app even if you are well; the app will direct you to the appropriate questions in that case.

The app does not give a diagnosis, but it can be a first step towards building future diagnostic apps.

You can withdraw from the study and the data collection by stopping to record your sounds and deleting the app.
