CNC Machinist Calculator Ultra is the next generation of our popular CNC Machinist Calculator Pro app. Built from the ground up, Ultra goes beyond Pro by integrating more than 20 new functions for a total of 83 comprehensive machining tools. Turning and milling tools include feeds and speeds for 170 materials, spindle speed conversions between SFM and RPM, rough pass cut time, groove and cutoff cycle time, adaptive feed control for inside and outside corners, radial chip thinning, cusp height, and ball endmill effective diameter calculations.

Drilling and tapping features provide drilling speeds and feeds, drill cut time, drill point length, tap drill size recommendations, and complete drill and tap charts with built-in search. Reaming functions calculate recommended stock, feeds, speeds, and pre-hole sizes, including coolant-through reamer options. Thread and fastener support goes far beyond Pro. Ultra includes thread dimensional data for UNC, UNF, UNJ, UN, UNEF, UNS, ACME, Stub Acme, NPT, Whitworth, BSPP, STI, and custom UNS/UNR threads with anodize and plating allowances. Users can instantly generate G76 lathe thread programs, G84 tap cycles, and thread mill programs. Socket head cap screw counterbore dimensions are included for quick reference.

Precision and GD&T tools help machinists achieve accuracy in complex parts. The true position calculator computes hole or feature placement with bonus tolerance options for MMC or LMC. Surface finish calculators predict or convert finishes between Ra, Rz, Rt, RMS, and more. ISO fits and tolerances are calculated per ISO-286-1. Additional utilities include a gauge block stack calculator, triangle solver, sine bar calculator, geometric formulas, and a complete GD&T reference guide.

Ultra also offers advanced shop tools not available in Pro. These include a CNC broach keyway program generator, boring bar deflection and cutting force calculator, coolant concentration calculator, spline data per ANSI B92.1 and SAE J499a, bandsaw cut time calculator with blade TPI recommendations, C-axis rotational feed conversion, knurl calculator, endmill runout calculation, and height over ball measurement for countersinks and taper bores.

Extra utilities expand functionality even further. Ultra includes hardness conversions across Rockwell, Brinell, and Vickers, a scientific calculator, a material weight calculator for 10 shapes and 170 materials, a thermal expansion calculator, and a complete G-code and M-code reference. A custom macro variables guide is available for programming, and the Machinist Test offers over 200 questions across 8 subjects to sharpen skills.

Ultra also includes the Machinist Assistant, an AI-powered tool that can answer CNC and machining questions instantly. This feature can be disabled at any time.

yeah, no . I'm not paying a subscription for an app. and the other app the seller has doesn't have the same features. you all would sell a lot more by having one time purchases instead of being annoying behind ads or subscriptions. As for the comments for the subscription to "keep up to date", with what..? unless you're adding every single new alloy and parameters every single month

I'm sure the information provided by this application is worthwhile for a one time purchase, but not for a recurring subscription. 1 star for hiding all information behind a pay wall, 1 star for at least having an ad supported option. Unless you like getting nickel and dimed every month, or love watching an ad every time you want a little bit of basic info, steer clear.

very good, lots of useful features, however it crashes alot when calculations are creating errors and have to force stop and restart the app will probably still get the app, would like to see this fixed though!
