CSCS Smart Check is an official app of the Construction Skills Certification Scheme.

CSCS Smart Check provides a common interface for all 38 card schemes displaying the CSCS logo to check physical or virtual cards.

Using a device that has NFC compatibility or via the camera scanning a QR code, CSCS Smart Check takes advantage of innovative technologies to provide a modern, efficient process for construction sites and employers to validate card details.

Reading and validating cards using CSCS Smart Check allows those checking cards to securely access information to verify a cardholder’s identity and ensures they have the appropriate qualifications and training for the role they are performing on site.

CSCS Smart Check also assists anyone checking cards to identify potential fraudulent and expired cards, with the overall objective to improve security and raise standards within the construction industry.

In order to read and check cards, CSCS Smart Check requires an active internet connection.

QR scan DOES NOT WORK. Useless app if half doesn't work. Manually entering did work. Not so useful if we don't have all details at the time where an applicant is not physically with us at the time of checking. Tell us how exactly this works as an employer???

2 out of 3 input methods don't work. I've got 2 IPAF contactless cards and not 1 of them work using the NFC. I've manually input them but it comes back unsuccessful. The only way I could validate my card using this app was through the QR code. I've also used my ALLMI card which works using the QR code reader.
