About this app

The Controller app is a required app for using the CARPE controllers on any Android system.

This app will guide you through the connection process between the controller and your device (BT connection).
You can also use the app for changing settings like, device orientation (CI Controller), app profile mode, setup wheel sensor (if present), change joystick sensibility (Adventure Control), change button backlight color and brightness (Adventure Control) and much more.
Depending on the device the app also allows you to monitor connection state and battery or voltage level.

This app includes our CARPE Accessibility Service that uses the Android Accessibility API to allow features like:
- Detect app in focus
- Adapt controller key profiles to in focus app
- Start the quick setting HUD view
This means the app will read your active(in focus) app package name, will read app UI-related information (UI IDs), key events and will be able to perform actions for you (button presses and gestures).
Our app does NOT connect to the internet to send any data, we do not collect any usage information and you are capable of disabling this service at any time!
Our accessibility service DOES NOT perform any action without your consent or action! All events performed by our accessibility service are triggered by your actual key presses and there is no unattended background actions!

- Ci Controller
- Terrain Command (Gen 1 and Gen 2)
- Adventure Control

The app and the controller (adventure controller) work particularly well in all conditions. I'm using it to pilot Gaia GPS and Maps. Only one small improvement is necessary for me and it's mapping the return/ok button to the recenter functionality in Maps (even the specif Maps' setting for the controller doesn't allow that) . In fact, if you play around with zoom it's impossible to get back the recentered view without pushing the button on the screen.

Why did you remove the option to go back to "Home" Screen from the HUD? After entering my kurviger Pro App from DMD2 for example I can not go back to the Dashboard anymore. I would also love to have an option to turn Google "Switch access" on and off with a click of the HUD. This would enable to operate kurviger Pro with all its menus etc. via the CI Controller I think. How can I update Controller Firmware?

Breaks with non-stock keyboards (swiftkey) and causes problems with security keys (yubikeys). Devs don't give a damn and won't even TRY to fix either problem for years.
