An aeronautical card designed by a pilot, for pilots.
Passionate about aviation, engineer graduated from ENAC, former president of the flying club, former member of the executive committee and of the office of the French Aeronautical Federation (secretary general then vice-president), Jean Bossy has been piloting light aircraft since 1967 and has been designing aeronautical charts since 1988.
Professionally Jean worked from 1971 to 2013 at the DGAC.
The concepts developed by Jean have met with great success for almost 20 years with aviators. His cards were quickly nicknamed “CartaBossy” by the general aviation pilot community. Several thousand pilots use them each year.
Quality of the graphic charter, simplicity of use and exhaustiveness of the information are the strong points of these aeronautical charts. An all-in-one card meeting the needs of VFR pilots, regulatory and in full compliance with ICAO standards and European Rules of Air (SERA).
An innovative menu, again and again.
Because air regulations are constantly evolving and the complexity of airspace is constantly increasing, Jean Bossy tries with each new edition to bring innovations allowing accessibility and visualization always more efficient for pilots. All radio frequencies are displayed (airspace and aerodromes), as well as more than 1,000 public, private and ULM fields. The map notably displays the preferred QFUs, orientation, length, lap direction and VFR reporting points.
This new edition always includes useful innovations (symbol for aerodromes with restrictions for ULMs, specific symbols for ULM platforms, display of tourist sites such as castles and lighthouses, indication of the presence of a landing fee, etc.) as well as a constantly improved geographic base map. This new edition includes the whole of France, Switzerland, Belgium and Luxembourg.

Because our cockpits are more and more "connected", Jean Bossy offers all buyers of a paper card the CartaBossy app available on Google Play as well as an electronic version of the card in several formats (JPG, PDF, ECW, etc.) downloadable from www.cartabossy.com.
