About this app

The Cigar Scanner App is a set of tools that helps cigar aficionados to learn about cigars, manage their cigar inventory, monitor their humidor’s conditions and share their experience with others.

1- Scan Cigar and Learn about it!
Take a picture of a cigar with your phone or tablet, and we will find it in our database of 13,000 premium cigar products. We’ll provide you with a detailed description of the cigar’s brand and manufacturer, detailed information about the cigar’s country of origin, strength, wrapper color, the tobacco blend used, Up-to-date Manufacturers US Suggested Retail Price, thousands of unbiased Aficionado’s ratings and reviews to help you choose the right cigar for you and cigar profile reflecting the most common attributes used by aficionados for that cigar

2- Keep Track of Your Smokes
Every cigar you scan or search can be stored in My Journal, Favorites, or Wish List, allowing you to clearly review your past cigar experience and categorize them. The Cigar Scanner app lets you rate and review every cigar you smoke as well as store personal private notes. You can also the record smoking time for each cigar as well as a custom price, a location, and picture.

3- Virtual Humidor - Keep track of your inventory!
Cigar scanner allow you to create and manage as many humidors as you want. It is very easy to add, edit or remove cigars from your virtual humidor(s). At any time, you will know how many cigars you have in stock, the value of those cigars as well as a report of all moves that occurred in your humidor(s).

4- Control your humidor’s Conditions Anywhere, Anytime!
Buy our Cigar Scanner Gateway and Sensor, place it in your humidor and be informed of the conditions inside your humidor(s) anywhere, anytime! Be notified when those conditions are out of your preset range of temperature and humidity and even when your humidor is opened. You’re always in control wherever you are!

Ratings and reviews

It's a good app and I really like using it for keeping track of what I have in my humidor, what I'm looking out for, tracking tasting notes and opinions, and seeing what other smokers think about cigars. As a European user there are MANY cigars I find are not in the database that I have to add manually which can be slightly tedious. EDIT: I received feedback from customer support and they were very helpful and accommodating, so I have updated my review.

Would be much better if there was a function to add box dates to allow you to keep track of ageing etc. I have singles and boxes from different dates, but when adding them to a new humidor, the only annotation I can make is on the 'Personal Note' which applies to every one of the cigars across all humidors. Also, an 'averaging' functionality may be useful for ratings. So if I was to smoke a box of 25, I would have an average rating for the box, rather than just the last one I smoked.

Great app, works the majority of the time. my only complaint is you can't add a price or any cigars that might not be listed within the app. This feature should be available even if what is uploaded has to be verified or just have it for individuals app. Also the ability to add boxes to the virtual humidor. other than that I am fully enjoying the app.
