edit: you no longer have to sacrifice the default assistant . huge development. it does involve giving a lot of permissions, not the developers fault. you need to pay for a subscription for pro version if you want to copy text, a pretty base functionality. The alternative is to use screenshots and Google lens. a little less clean of a system. But it is a working app that does what it says. maybe the first third party to market with a viable workaround for circle to search. well done.

Does what it says, seamlessly. Easy to install, and then select by long-pressing Home button. As though it were a built-in function (which it's supposed to be, allegedly, on Oppo X5, but isn't). Edit: I've purchased the premium version, at £1.99 a year seems good value for such a useful app, adding text and QR recognition is brilliant. A must-have for phones that don't include native circle-to-search, imho.

The future of Circle to Search involves its expansion to more Android devices beyond Pixel and select Galaxy models. Additionally, there are reports suggesting it may soon integrate with a new AI feature called Nano Banana for AI-powered photo editing directly within the Lens and Circle to Search interfaces. Google is also continuing to incorporate more Generative AI Overviews into the search results.
