Yes! A simple, uncluttered compass that works as well as any other compass app, which is to say well enough if you calibrate it. But most other compass apps I have tried have some terrible drawbacks: lack of privacy, intrusive (sometimes noisy) ads, unreasonable prices, bloated engineering and/or battery drain, and so on. This is open source and works as well as others, without those flaws. The (optional) haptic feedback is kind of fun, like turning an analog dial when you rotate your phone.

What I like about this app is that it gives me a choice between true north (geographic north) typically used in maps and magnetic north (that a magnetic compass points to). And the app is ABSOLUTELY FREE! I had to recalibrate the compass sensor on my Motorola G24 Android smartphone (so that north on the compass aligns correctly with the top of the screen), moving the phone through the air in a figure-8 pattern and (IMPORTANT!) rotating it around multiple axes. Then the compass app worked OK.:)

Thank you, Philipp! I love apps like this. Super clean, asks for virtually no permissions, and works great. Thanks for gifting this to the Android community. I appreciate your work and your gift! 👍
