The Concord Monitor app allows readers to read live news as it's updated through the day and a replica of the print edition. Stories are automatically updated every few minutes all day long. You can receive breaking news alerts, share stories with friends and family - all on your phone or tablet. The app uses Multi-touch gestures to provide fast and easy navigation and a natural paper-like reading experience.

Ratings and reviews

The new app does not allow you to simply click on comics or puzzles to open them to facilitate reading them. Especially important on phones. That also does not allow printing them, a killer problem for those who want to actually do the puzzles and crosswords. A gross oversight in the new app and basic functionality that was part of the previous app version. Their labor and time intensive workarounds are unacceptable solutions to these blatant shortcomings.

Sorry. The latest update stinks. Complaints: The app skips the obits and the comics! I don't know whether this is a software design issue or a problem with the person who prepared the issue. I promise to update my review as soon as I get the obits and comics back. Previous review from a year ago: I love the local reporting. I wish the app had a dark mode with black/white reversed. I usually read the paper at 4AM with my spouse asleep next to me.

App downloaded fine, showed list of issues available, but will not allow reading any without signing into account. Yet it will not allow or tell how to create an account. Help does not cover the topic. Useless app. 2/25 Update, checking back to see if any improvements. Apparently not. Feedback from CM other reviews would be helpful. Why are only a few users happy with it, and several can't get it to work correctly? Is it a browser issue, iPhone vs android issue, software problem,or just apathy?
