I was looking for an app where I could put puzzles from hard copy sources into a blank grid and work them. This allows me to create a puzzle but doesn't allow me to play it. Play button does nothing. Pointless. Also there is no facility to put notes in the squares for possible candidates. Perhaps I am missing something, if do there needs to be better instructions. Uninstalling.

Hello. To add your own Sudoku you need:
1) Click "Create mine"
2) Enter your numbers
3) Press ???? to fill empty cells
4) Select "Create mine"
5) Set how many empty cells you want and click “Select empty”
6) Click "Play"

Can't actually make your own Sudoku puzzles unless you fill in the whole board, despite it having the functionality to tell you if the puzzle is solvable without being filled in. I wanted to use this to enter numbers from an existing puzzle and use the interface to play it - if I had the answer for the whole grid, I wouldn't be trying to create it.

Thanks for the feedback! It's an interesting idea to allow Sudoku to be played without filling all the cells! I'll try to implement it in the next version.

This is a great app with a clean interface. I love how I can create a puzzle through filling in the given numbers. I just wish there was a way to add a puzzle through an 81 digit text string. There is an open source database of around 900,000 sudoku puzzles all ranked and checked for a single solution in 81 digit text string. It would be really nice if I can just copy and paste a digit string in order to set up this board.
